I just wanted to take a moment and express my gratitude to everyone that has come to this blog and continues to come back when they can. I went live in June 2009 and had a little over 280 views that entire month. This June brought over 6,000 people, new and returning, to our little dog and pony show…almost 60% being unique visitors. Thank you for all the compliments, suggestions, and links. Nothing goes unheard or overlooked. Wes and I will continue to do what we love and hopefully brighten your next 12 months with great music when you need it most. As always, let me know what is burning up your ipod, and have a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend.

Oh, hello blog…I guess I’ll start posting again. Thank you to Wes for taking over for a few days while I was on vacation, I hope everyone enjoyed what he’s put up! Also, thank you for the wonderful feedback on the MDMixtape, hopefully it was a great soundtrack to your long weekend.
Today I’m bringing you more Gaga, this time from the European Special Edition of The Fame. I haven’t gotten a chance to listen to the tracks as thoroughly as I’d like but they’re all upbeat and have those nice Gaga synth beats. You might recognize “I Like It Rough” which was an iTunes bonus track. She also brings back The New Kids On the Block for a pretty fun song. Enjoy!

Electrolightz is quickly becoming one my favorite remixers out there, dropping some pretty fantastic stuff lately. They got a hold of Wynter Gordon’s “Dirty Talk” and put a booty droppin bass beat to it, added a bit of echo for an even sultrier vibe, and Name Brand is back with a smooth rap that adds a nice edge to the song. I just wanted to take a moment to welcome Wesley to C&B. He has guest posted in the past but will now be a regular contributor to this blog. I’m very happy to bring him on board as he offers a sharp ear to what is happening in the indie/electro/brit-pop scene. I hope you continue to enjoy what we bring you each week and the effort that goes into it. And thank you for all the positive feedback, it’s very much appreciated. There will be some other changes happening in the future so stay tuned!
Here is SE-B’s new poptastic song “Bittersweet” with the video which was released on Tuesday. It’s a pure of heart pop song, which is what we can expect from Sophie, who has created some of the catchiest songs in the last decade…how I was ever able to get “Murder on the Dancefloor” out of my head is a miracle. After it the track dropped a few weeks ago, Freemasons got a hold of it and made it even better. Enjoy!
