Christmas is coming early this year in many forms. I saw my first Christmas tree in a window last week, “Oh Santa!” is hitting the airwaves, Ms. Lennox is back with her ode to the holiday set to be released on Nov. 15th…and now we have Glee’s contribution to the tiny baby Jesus’ birth. It has your regular Christmas tunes (although a cover of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” would have been gleeful) and a cute rendition of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” (which no one actually knows the lyrics to) by Kurt and Blaine. The highly anticipated epidode of Glee featuring Britney Spears airs tomorrow! She comes to us in a dream sequence when the kids are visiting the dentist, who is Emma’s new love interest played by Uncle Jesse (John Stamos). I’m glad they’re highlighting Brittany as she has consistently delivered some of the best and most quotable one-liners on the show. After hearing the songs I’m looking forward to it, especially the Toxic number. Hopefully Spears’ performance won’t cause a toothache. Get it? The lineup tonight is:

Glee



Glee returns tonight with some all new music. From what I hear they have lined up some pretty heavy hitters this season to appear. I know everyone is dying to be a part of this tv hit, I just hope they don’t exploit their popularity and forget an actual storyline. Guest star after guest star sort of gets old (Will & Grace’s last season became sort of gimmicky). However, tonight’s episode should be pretty ridiculous based on the song lineup we have:

Billionaire – Travis McCoy

Listen – Dreamgirls
What I Did for Love – A Chorus Line

Summary of the show (if you don’t want to know, don’t read on!): The glee kids are still down from their loss at Regionals, but are determined to begin a new year of exciting performances. The club learns that Nationals are going to be in New York this year, and start to recruit new members in the face of budget cuts by Principal Figgins. Meanwhile, a aggressive new female football coach arrives at the school, giving Sue Sylvester a new nemesis.

Glee – Dream On (music from the episode)

For those of you Glee fans out there, here is the music from last night’s episode. I thought it was an excellent one and if you thought it felt a little different from previous episodes, it’s because Joss Whedon was directing. And, frankly, I wouldn’t mind him at them helm from now on…he needs to do something with his amazing talent. (Anyone remember the “Once More With Feeling” episode from Buffy? Genius.) Anyway, Lea and Idina’s “I Dreamed A Dream” was one of the best songs yet, in my opinion. And “Safety Dance” definitely needed a revival. Enjoy!
