I was lucky to have the pleasure to meet and interview Yelle (Julie) herself! Watch and learn a little more about where the music you love comes from, the inspiration for Safari Disco Club and Yelle’s big gay fan base. Thanks again to TheNewGay and of course the amazingly lovely Julie.

I have been hugely delinquent on posting in general, even more delinquent in sharing the absolute amazingness that is the new Yelle LP Safari Disco Club.  Delightfully quirky, perfectly French and completely addictive.

Did I mention that Yelle is in D.C. tonight? They are taking over the 930 Club along with the French Horn Rebellion. Tickets are surprisingly still available and trust me this is a show that should not be missed! I for one cannot wait to see them live again.

The world’s favorite French chanteuse, Yelle, has returned with her second single off her upcoming album, ‘Safari Disco Club’. A very different feel than the last single ‘La Musique’, but as always PERFECTLY QUIRKY. It has sent me into a little bit of a Yelle relapse and I have been playing her Pop Up album a lot this week. Her videos will definitely be making an appearance Friday night for my first night as the RESIDENT DJ/VJ at Nellies Sports Bar. So make sure to come out to hear AND see the best of pop and C&B.

Wow, been sitting on this one for some time now. Lost in the flurry of summer fun, work craziness and God knows what else since May.

All-star Producer/DJ duo ‘Crookers‘ have put together an album rightfully titled “Tons of Friends”. On it you will find at least a dozen different artists lending talent to their debut album of original work. My favorite has to be the collaboration with French electro-pop star Yelle entitled ‘Cooler Couleur’. Full disclosure I am a HUGE Yelle fan and would probably like any track including her.
